ACMO Continuing Education Credit Program Ending for RCMs

Back in 2011, ACMO introduced the condominium industry’s first Continuing Education program requiring Registered Condominium Managers (RCM ®) to complete 10 hours of continuing education annually to build their knowledge and stay current.  Recently, the CMRAO followed suit announcing that effective July 1, 2023, General Licensees must log 10 hours of continuing education to maintain and renew their license.

Given a manager must possess a valid General License in order to obtain and maintain the RCM designation, it does not make sense to duplicate efforts, so we have decided to wrap up ACMO’s Continuing Education program effective immediately.

As a result, we will no longer require RCMs to track continuing education credits for the purposes of renewing their ACMO membership and RCM designation – maintenance of a valid CMRAO General License will suffice.

To assist the CMRAO and our RCM members in tracking continuing education credits going forward, ACMO will submit confirmed attendee lists for all of our CMRAO-approved continuing education seminars, webinars, and Advanced Certificate Courses to the CMRAO.
