ACMO Certificate Program

Since 1977 ACMO has been committed to educational excellence and led the way in delivering licensing and continuing education to condominium managers. ACMO is proud to announce the next evolution in condominium management training - the ACMO Certificate Program, a series of continuing education courses providing a higher level of knowledge in specific condominium management topics. Gaining a certificate will build on the knowledge you acquired through the RCM program and further differentiate you from those who only have the minimum general licence.

As an RCM, we know that you are committed to a higher standard of expertise and professionalism.  We know that you pursued and maintained your RCM designation to demonstrate your competency and gain a competitive advantage in the marketplace. ACMO Certificate Programs will enhance your RCM and your resume, build your skill set and enable you to demonstrate your expertise confidently.

In the coming months, ACMO will introduce more courses under its Certificate Program covering a wide range of topics condominium managers need to stay current and competitive in today’s market, aligning with the CMRAO Competency Framework. The next two courses we are working on are Ethics and Conflict Management/Communications.  The plan is to offer seven courses annually, beginning in 2022. Certificate courses will become a requirement to achieving the RCM to ensure that everyone obtaining the designation in the future will continue to be able to differentiate themselves from those managers who hold only the general licence.

Advanced Plumbing and Water Management Certificate

The first ACMO Certificate is the “Advanced Plumbing and Water Management Certificate Course.” This course will cover the function, features and maintenance of a domestic plumbing system – everything from how water travels through a building to helping condominium managers determine what they can do when challenges arise before calling a contractor.

The course consists of two parts:

  • Part 1 is a pre-recorded video attendees watch in advance of the live course that provides a general overview of the components of a domestic plumbing system and its purpose.
  • Part 2 is a live online class providing a deeper dive into the nature and operation of these components, regular maintenance procedures, common problems and troubleshooting, and technical advancements in plumbing technology to prepare you for the future.

Attendees will receive a reference guide from which to prepare for the online quiz that will take place a week after the live class. Those who pass the quiz will receive a certificate and 10 CE points – half of the points to renew your RCM membership!

Course Date:
New course dates will be announced soon.

Program Cost:
$150+HST for RCM, Individual and Student members
$250+HST for non-members
