Prior to each of the four sittings of the RCM Exam each year, ACMO offers a two-day refresher course. The seminar is lead by RCMs and is designed to highlight key concepts from each of the four ACMO courses. It is not designed to provide the answers to the RCM Exam, but rather to supplement the individual preparation you have already undertaken to be ready to write the RCM Exam. If it has been some time since you completed the ACMO courses, or you have received an experience exemption, or you want to be sure you have focused on the key areas in your own exam preparation, this seminar is for you.
Attendance is limited to ensure a good exchange of information and focus on key concepts.
For further information on upcoming Refresher course dates, please visit the Events Calendar.
Once you have completed your required course work you are eligible to write the R.C.M. comprehensive exam immediately. Writing the exam right after you have completed the education requirements, will increase your potential for success as the material will be fresh and you will be experienced at exam writing. Your exam results will be held on file with ACMO and once you have completed working as a condominium manager for two years you may apply for your R.C.M. designation.
To write the RCM exam you must be a Candidate member in good standing of the Association of Condominium Managers of Ontario (if you are not a member, please complete the membership application and submit with your payment), have completed and passed all courses of the ACMO Educational requirements.
The R.C.M. examination has been prepared by experts in the field of Condominium Management and is designed to ensure that Condominium Property Managers in Ontario are fully qualified professionals with broad expertise and knowledge in this field. The exam focuses on the following four areas: Law, Financial, Physical Building and Administration and Human Relations. The R.C.M. examination is three and a half hours long and is a closed book exam.
You must pre-register for the exam and ensure that you are a current candidate member of ACMO. Registration starts 30 days prior to the exam date. The refresher course is held prior to the exam. Please check the Events Calendar for further details and current dates.
